Broken When Found.Fixed Before You See It.
A recovered photo that turns grey halfway down, or a video that refuses to play, is still a lost file. DRE Pro repairs them during the scan: it checks each photo, repairs the ones it can and, for videos, reads the file's own index to find every scattered piece on the drive and join them in order. No second tool, nothing extra to click.

What File Reconstruction And Repair Looks Like In DRE Pro
Corrupted Photo Repair
JPG and other photos found with a broken header or a cut-off tail are repaired while the scan runs.
Scattered Video Reconstruction
A long MP4 or MOV rarely sits on a drive in one piece. DRE Pro reads the video's index and collects each part where it really is.
Camera Formats
JPG, HEIC, PNG and camera RAW files such as CR2 and NEF, with MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV and 3GP on the video side.
Preview Before Saving
Open the repaired photo or play the video from the results list. If it is not right, you have not paid for it.
Marks You Can Trust
A photo that could only be partly repaired is marked Risky, not Good.
Documents And Archives Too
Office files, PDFs, mail files and ZIPs are recognised by their contents and checked for completeness.
Photo Recovery With The Repair Built In.
As the scan finds photos it checks them. A damaged JPG is repaired from its own structure. Each file then carries its mark, Good, Risky or Overwritten, so you know which ones to trust before you save.
How It Works, Step By Step
- Stop taking photos on the card. Take it out of the camera and put it in a reader on the computer.
- Pick the card under Drives And Locations and run Deep Scan.
- Filter the results to Photos or Videos. Repaired files appear with their marks.
- Preview the ones that matter, then save the lot to the computer or another drive.
Why People Pick DRE Pro For This
Not a list of adjectives. Three things that change what happens to your files.
Recovery and repair happen together. You do not recover a broken file and then hunt for a tool to fix it.
A wedding video found in six pieces across a card comes back as one file that plays.
Sort by date, pick the day, save the batch. That is the whole workflow after a bad card.
Why Recovered Photos Break
A photo is written to a card in several chunks. If some of those chunks have been reused, or if the file's first few hundred bytes, the header, were in a damaged sector, a normal recovery returns a file that image viewers refuse or show half grey. Repair rebuilds the header from the parts of the file that survived and trims the file to the last good block, so what is left opens and displays.
Why Videos Are Harder
Video files are large and cameras write them while recording, so the pieces end up wherever the card had space. A scan that finds the start of an MP4 and simply reads forward collects the wrong pieces and the result will not play. DRE Pro reads the index inside the video, the table that says which frame is where, and fetches each piece from its true location on the drive.
