Why Videos Break
Cameras and phones write a video in pieces and they write the index that holds the pieces together right at the end. Stop the recording badly, lose power or pull the card and the index never gets written. Or the pieces are fine but spread across the card and a simple recovery stitches the wrong ones together.
What DRE Pro Does About It
- Reads the video's own index and finds every frame it points to, wherever it sits on the drive.
- Puts the frames back in the right order, so the clip plays.
- Stops a rebuilt clip at its last real frame. Nothing from another file is joined on.
- Finds clips inside other video files that do not open and keeps the whole photos and videos it finds inside broken files.
Getting A Playable Clip
- Put the original card or drive in and open DRE Pro.
- Run a Deep Scan. Filter results to Videos.
- Repaired clips are listed as they are found. Preview them.
- Save the ones that play to another drive.
When It Will Not Come Back
We would rather tell you now than after you have paid.
- Some parts of the video were overwritten. The clip then ends at the last frame that is really there. A shorter video, never a garbled one.
- You only have the broken copy and not the card it came from.
