Found By What They Are

Every kind of photo and video starts with its own signature. DRE Pro looks for those signatures across the whole drive. That is why it can find a picture whose name, folder and date were all wiped out with the drive's index.

Pictures found this way may come back with a number for a name. Sort by type, size and date and preview. You will recognise your own photos at a glance.

Broken Ones Are Fixed On The Way

A photo that opens half grey or a clip that will not play is often damaged, not lost. DRE Pro checks every photo and video it finds and repairs the damaged ones while the scan is still running. Videos scattered across the drive are put back in order using the video's own index.

Finding Them

  1. Pick the drive or card and choose Deep Scan.
  2. Filter the results to Photos or Videos.
  3. Open a few to check. Each one is marked Good, Risky or Overwritten.
  4. Tick the ones you want and save them to a different drive.

When It Will Not Come Back

We would rather tell you now than after you have paid.

  • The pictures were overwritten by new files.
  • They were on a phone's internal memory, which DRE Pro does not read.
  • They were only ever in a cloud account and deleted there. That is a matter for the cloud service.
